Jan Brittin MBE

Our friend Jan Brittin (JB) passed away on 11th September 2017 after a long illness.

JB was a long standing member of our golf society and a world renowned international cricketer. J excelled at hockey, golf and cricket, and still holds the world record for the highest number of test runs. She is survived by her partner Ange, her parents Kevin and Maggie and dog Millie.

JB’s funeral took place on Tuesday 26th September at the Surrey & Sussex Crematorium in Crawley, West Sussex. The Order of Service is available here for those that could not attend, or did not receive a copy on the day.

The collection at the funeral and fines raised (£138.65) at the October society meeting raised a total of £2668.65 for the St Peter and St James’ hospice, in memory of JB.
